SCA (Student Council)
Winding Creek's Student Council is made up of 5 elected officers and approximately 30 student representatives from grades 4 and 5.  The SCA encourages student leadership, and familiarizes students with how organizations and governments operate.  In addition, we raise funds each year for a charity, and for a gift to give back to our Winding Creek school community.  The SCA also operates the school store and sponsors several spirit days for the students and staff.

Elections underway for 2010-2011
We have more than 50 candidates vying for the 5 SCA Officer position.  The primary election for President, Vice President and Treasurer will take place on Wednesday, October 6.  The top five candidates from the primary will then run in the main election with voting taking place on October 15th.  The top vote-getter for each office will assume that office, with the next one or two (Rec. Secretary and Corres. Secretary) vote getters becoming Representatives at Large.  Number of Reps at Large will be determined by the total number of students running for each office.  Students not winning an office or Rep seat will be eligible to run for Classroom Representative.
